Riverfront Park Campground Park Rules


Speed Limit 5 mph ~ STRICKLY ENFORCED
Quiet Hours 11pm-8am MI Time
  1. All persons must register immediately upon arrival with a park employee.
  2. Check in 2pm, check out 1pm.  Any adjustments to these times may be subject to additional charges.
  3. Minors cannot enter the park unless accompanied by an adult.
  4. Parents/Guardians are responsible for the actions, behavior, and safety of their minor children at all times.  Minors are to be supervised at all times and are not to be left unattended in the park.  Children must be supervised in restrooms, showers, on the beach, and at the playground.  
  5. Campsite price is for four (4)-person occupancy (2 adults and 2 children) Additional persons: $5 Day pass per person; overnight stays - $15 per person. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  6. Only licensed drivers are permitted to drive vehicles within the park premises.  Observe the 5 MPH speed limit at all times. NO Parking on grass. Overflow parking is available
  7. Due to insurance restrictions, roller shoes, roller blades, in-line skates, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, all terrain vehicles and like items are prohibited in the park.
  8. Campers are responsible for the cleanliness of their campsites and the recreation areas they use including restrooms, shower areas and beach. NO CLOTHES LINES ALLOWED.
  9. Intoxicated or disorderly persons will not be tolerated.   

    PETS

  1. Pets must be on a 6’ lease at all times or confined inside the camping unit.  
  2. Pets may not be left unattended at any time.
  3. State law prohibits pets in the lake or on the beach.  Pets are not allowed in any building, on the beach, restrooms or in the playground area.
  4. Pet excreta must be cleaned up immediately.
  5. Pets creating a disturbance or those threatening to other campers may be removed from the park.

Garbage and Refuse Removal

  1. All garbage and refuse must be placed in plastic bags, tied, and disposed of inside the containers provided in the park.  

Fires

  1. No firewood may be brought into the park.
  2. Fires are to be contained in fire rings, DO NOT MOVE FIRERINGS.  Fires on the ground are prohibited.
  3. All fires are to be put out before retiring or leaving.

Beach Area

  1. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY-SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK
  2. Minors and non-swimmers must be accompanied by a responsible adult age 18 or older that can swim.
  3. Proper swimwear is required.   
  4. Children who wear diapers must wear ‘swim diapers’ in the beach area.
  5. Diving, running, pushing, and all forms of roughhousing are prohibited.
  6. Size-appropriate life vests must be worn when using the paddleboat.
  7. No pets are allowed in the beach area.

Golf Carts

  1. All golf cart drivers must possess a valid driver’s license.  Only one golf cart is allowed per site.
  2. All golf carts must be registered with proof of liability and property insurance must be provided to park management before being used in the park.  
  3. Golf cart drivers must observe the 5 mph speed limit at all times ~ STRICKLY ENFORCED.  
  4. There are to be only as many passengers as there are seats available.  
  5. Golf carts must have head and taillights when operating after dark.

Tubing the River

  1. All campers may rent the tubes - $10.00; however please bring them back to the lodge when finished as others may be waiting their turn.
  2. Enter and exit ONLY in designated areas.  Be courteous to other campers and do not enter or exit through their site.
  3. Size-appropriate life vests must be worn when tubing the river.

Other

  1. Park management is not responsible for accidents or injuries to guests or for the loss of valuables of any kind.
  2. Park management reserves the right to refuse entry into, or eject from the park any person, adult or minor that does not abide by all rules.
  3. For everyone’s enjoyment and safety, please be courteous and respect the rights and property of other campers.

Cancellations and Refund Policy

      • Camping is an outdoor experience; therefore we do not give refunds due to the discomforts of Mother Nature.  •  A full refund less the cancellation fee is given when cancellation is made 10 or more days prior to arrival.  •  Cancellation fee is $10/site.  
      •  Refunds are paid by check within 15 business days
      ALL TIMES ARE GIVEN IN MICHIGAN TIME
   DO NOT BRING FIREWOOD INTO THE PARK --Due to Emerald Ash Borer quarantine in Michigan the transportation of firewood is restricted.  Firewood is available for sale from park management.
   IN THE EVENT OF SEVERE WEATHER take shelter in the main bathhouse or in the ‘lodge’ building.

      Rates, fees, rules and regulations, policies, and activities are subject to change without
      notice and are at the complete discretion of park management.
